What exactly is HELIOS Vault?
A personal AI system that lives on your computer and works like a small team, not a single chatbot. At the center is HELIOS — the voice you talk to. Behind it is a crew of specialists: a coordinator, a researcher, a chronicler, an engineer, an archivist, a gatekeeper and a recruiter, each taking the part of your request they're best at.
It's all built around your vault — a knowledge base of your notes, documents and decisions that the crew reads, maintains and grows for you. Ask a question, hand over a task, or just think out loud. HELIOS takes it from there.
When can I try it?
The beta is invite-only while we polish the experience with a small group. Waves are kept deliberately small so every tester gets real attention — which is also why joining the waitlist doesn't guarantee immediate access.
Invites go out in order, with a bias toward a healthy mix of systems and use cases. You'll get an email the moment your spot opens — there's nothing to download or configure before then.
What do I need to run it?
A Mac running a recent version of macOS today; a Windows beta is in the works. HELIOS is light on its feet — no gaming rig, no special GPU — because the heavy AI lifting runs through your AI subscription rather than your hardware: either Claude Code or ChatGPT Codex, the only two engines HELIOS runs on.
Setup is deliberately boring: download, double-click, connect your subscription, say hello. If you can install a normal app, you're qualified. The full list of what powers HELIOS is in the pricing section above — no surprises.
Is my data really private?
Your vault lives where you put it — on your machine, or in a cloud folder you already own, like Dropbox, OneDrive or Google Drive. We don't host your files, and nothing you store is ever used to train anything.
Conversations run through your own AI subscription, under your own account — not through our servers. And nothing new joins your system without Argus, the crew's gatekeeper, inspecting it first. Privacy here isn't a policy-page promise; it's the architecture.
How is this different from a chatbot?
A chatbot answers messages. HELIOS runs your world: a crew that files your notes, researches with sources, connects to your calendar, tasks and other platforms, and shows it all live on your dashboard — then acts on it when you ask.
The difference shows up over time. A chatbot forgets you between conversations. HELIOS's crew keeps your vault — so every week it knows your world a little better, and you repeat yourself a little less.
Do I need to be technical?
No. If you can install an app and hold a conversation, you can run HELIOS. There are no config files to edit and no dashboards to babysit — the crew handles the technical side, including wiring up connections to your other platforms.
Even extending the system isn't technical: describe the specialist you wish you had, and Nova — the crew's recruiter — builds the role for you.
Can I share it with my partner or my team?
Yes. Put a vault in a shared cloud folder — Dropbox, OneDrive or Google Drive — and each person's HELIOS works from the same knowledge. Your partner asks about the household budget, you ask about the same numbers from your desk, and you're both talking to a crew that knows the full picture.
Personal and business vaults stay separate, so your private notes never mix into the shared space.
What will it cost after the beta?
Free for invited testers during the beta — full stop. After launch, HELIOS will be a simple subscription: one predictable price, no per-token metering, no surprise overage bills at the end of a busy month.
And because HELIOS runs on an AI subscription you may already be paying for, you're not stacking a second usage bill on top of it. Beta members hear pricing first, before anyone else.
